6 months old and counting our blessings every single second of every day

Well hello world! I have been neglecting this cute blog that I so eagerly started 8 months ago and now I miss the idea of it so much I just had to come update it! So much has changed in our lives in the last couple of months. We moved back down to the beach and are staying with Grandpa and Mame for a few more months and then we will be out on our own. I recently just picked up a part-time job at a new restaurant down the street called Slaters 50/50 and am helping support our little family. It hasn't been easy leaving baby girl, but I keep reminding myself how lucky I am to get to come home to her everyday. I am blessed to hold her in my arms and lucky to have more time with her than not with her. I am loving every minute of watching her grow and learn how to crawl and sit and watching her teeth pop in one by one. She has 8 now at the young age of 6.5 months! Here are a few pictures of her!

These last few weeks have been trying with me getting a "third job" and I just stumbled upon this new song by Laura Story and I must share it for anyone who might read this at one point. It helps bring back perspective into my life and makes me grateful for all that I have. Here are the lyrics...

Blessings by Laura Story

Send "Blessings" Ringtone to your Cell

We pray for blessings, we pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering

All the while You hear each spoken need
Yet love is way too much to give us lesser things

'Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears?
What if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You're near?

What if trials of this life
Are Your mercies in disguise?

We pray for wisdom, Your voice to hear
We cry in anger when we cannot feel You near
We doubt Your goodness, we doubt Your love
As if every promise from Your Word is not enough

And all the while You hear each desperate plea
And long that we'd have faith to believe

'Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears?
And what if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You're near?

And what if trials of this life
Are Your mercies in disguise?

When friends betray us, when darkness seems to win
We know that pain reminds this heart
That this is not, this is not our home
It's not our home

'Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears?
And what if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You're near?

What if my greatest disappointments
Or the aching of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst
This world can't satisfy?

And what if trials of this life
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
Are Your mercies in disguise?

Pretty powerful huh?
Love, mom
